The initiative aims to position Malaysia as a hub for green data center technology by leveraging a key domestic commodity. Immersion cooling, a method where IT hardware is submerged in a non-conductive liquid, is more efficient than traditional air cooling. Using a palm oil derivative could offer a homegrown solution, but it also introduces complexities tied to the palm oil industry, including its environmental record.
