How we work

Independence

ASEAN Rising is editorially independent. No advertiser, sponsor or investor sees stories before publication or has any influence over what we cover or how we cover it.

Sourcing

Every factual claim is sourced. Where possible we link directly to primary documents, central bank statements, exchange filings, government gazettes, court records, company prospectuses. Anonymous sources are used sparingly and only when the information cannot be obtained another way; their motivations are disclosed to readers.

Conflicts of interest

Writers disclose at the foot of any story where they hold a position in a security or have a personal relationship with a named source. Editors recuse themselves from coverage of organisations where a conflict exists.

Use of AI

We use AI tools for research, transcription and copy-editing assistance. AI is not used to generate factual claims without human verification, and no story is published without a named human editor signing off.

Corrections

Mistakes will happen. When they do, we correct them openly: the original story is updated, the change is logged at the foot of the article with a timestamp, and material errors are flagged on our channels. To request a correction, email corrections@aseanrising.com with the URL and the specific line in question.

Right of reply

Subjects of critical coverage are contacted before publication and offered a meaningful opportunity to respond. Substantive responses received after publication are appended to the story.
