The Structural Reality of Supply Chains
Malaysia has for decades been a critical node in the global semiconductor supply chain, particularly in assembly, testing, and packaging (ATP). The recent export growth reflects a strengthening of this position. This specialization, however, also highlights the country's deep integration with China, which serves as both a source of components and a final destination for many of these assembled electronic goods.
